Doratha Gross was born August 23, 1912 in rural Burr, Nebraska to Charles & Minnie (Neemann) Gross. She passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Syracuse Community Memorial Hospital at the age of 100 years, 7 months and 23 days.

Doratha worked in personal home health care in Syracuse, Nebraska. She was a member of the Easter Star and the VFW.

She is survived by her son Charles Robert & Jean Morris, Granddaughters, Vicki Sue Mercey and Sherry Lewis, Grandsons, Raymond Barnes, David (Diann) Barnes, Dale Barnes, Great Grandchildren: Kimberly, Sarah & Hayden Barnes, Emily & Reece Barnes, Gavin Barnes, Sister, Ruby Peterson, Sister-in-law Naomi Gross, nieces, nephews and many special friends.

Preceded in death by daughter Sammy Kay, parents, sisters Esther Schreiner and Kay Frances, brothers Ernest & LeRoy Gross.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday April 20, 2013 at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Chapel at 2:00 P.M.

The book can be signed on Friday April 19 from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M. at the funeral home. No viewing due to cremation.
