Doris J. Sporhase was born April 27, 1926 at her parent's home northwest of Sumner, Ne. Her parents were Chester and Libbie (Hoffman) Lorenzen. She passed away on Feb. 24, 2016 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center.

She graduated from Sumner High School in May 1944. After Graduation, she moved to Kearney, NE. where she was employed at the Kearney Air Base. She married Jesse H. Sporhase August 27, l946 in Hiawatha, KS. They moved to St Louis, Mo. where Jesse graduated from Rankin Trade School. In April 1949, they moved to Syracuse, NE. and started J.H. Sporhase Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning where she worked for many years.

She is survived by her husband Jesse, a son Bradley & daughter-in-law Beverly, Daughter Deanna, Grandson Jonathan and wife Stephanie, and Great-Grandson Wesley, brothers Loren Lorenzen, Jim Lorenzen, and a sister, Janelle Hutchison. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday March 1st at 10:30 A.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday February 29th from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the Otoe Cemetery.
