Obituary
Doris Mae Vice was born in Munhall, Pennsylvania, on May 7, 1931, to Henry and Stella (Hess) Steiner. She was raised in Donora, PA where she met and married Joseph Vice. They lived in West Miffin, PA where their first 10 children were born. Moving to Nebraska in 1963 and settling in Louisville, Nebraska, Doris added three more children to her wonderful family.
Doris was a stay-at-home mother, only working outside the home when her youngest went to school. She worked at different restaurants and the Louisville Care Center. She retired in 1983.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Manley, Nebraska. Doris enjoyed her family, especially all of her grand and great grandchildren. Doris loved traveling to visit her children in other states. She passed away at her home on February 7, 2014, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her children: sons and daughters-in-law, Jim (Alice), Joe (Rhonda), Bob (Margie), Tom (Dorothy), Tim, Hank (Lori), David (Kim), and Ken (Lisa), daughters and sons-in-law Judy (Lonnie), Peg, Sue (Gary), Carol, and daughter-in-law Janet Brattian Vice; 36-grandchildren, 39-great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters Arlene and Cathy (Pete), sister-in-law Rosemary, and best friend JoAnn Cheney.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph, son Daniel, infant daughter Mary Ann, granddaughter Jamie Rae, grandson Steven, parents Henry and Stella Steiner, brothers Robert and Henry.
Rosary, Tuesday night at 7:00 P.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Viewing one hour before services at the Church.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at 10:30 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 101 Broadway, Manley, Nebraska
Visitation Monday, February 10, 2014 from 12 noon until 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 until 8:00, and Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. all at the Funeral home. We will have viewing at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Manley, NE, from 5:30 P.M. until time of Rosary at 7:00 P.M.
