Dorothy S. Antes was born on March 21, 1907 in Rural Otoe, Nebraska to Robert & Mary (Keller) Ross. She passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 103 years.

Dorothy was united in Marriage on August 29, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska to Paul Antes. They made their home in the Syracuse area where she taught in country schools and later Jr. High Math for six decades.

She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Warner Cemetery Association, Extension club, Lions Club. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Kent Antes and wife Sue of Syracuse, NE; Kay Anderson and husband Ron of Lincoln, NE; great grandchildren, Laura Matoush and husband Kasey of Lincoln, NE; Scott Anderson of Lincoln, NE; Cortney Ray and husband Justin of Lincoln, NE; 3 great great grandchildren, Mitch, Ella and Marah Matoush of Lincoln, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul Antes, Son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Aldean Antes.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 10;30 A.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. Mike Widner officiating.

Interment will be in the Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 29, 2010.
