Dorothy A. Pfeiffer age 82 of Wahoo formerly of Dunbar, Nebraska passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 . Dorothy was born on June 7, 1933 to Louis and Emma (Tuma) Urban in Comstock, Nebraska.

Dorothy graduated from Ord High School and attended Kearney St. College where she met Robert Pfeiffer. Robert and Dorothy were married on September 30, 1954. They had three sons, Martin, Tyler and Shane. Dorothy spent many years canvassing the Dunbar area for the March of Dimes and Red Cross. Dorothy was the Dunbar Elementary School Librarian and was employed many years by the Dunbar Post Office. In 2013 Dorothy moved into assisted living at Saunders House in Wahoo. Dorothy has been a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Nebraska City since 1959.

She is survived by her Sons; Martin (Diana) Pfeiffer, of Wahoo, NE, Shane Pfeiffer, of New York City, NY, Grandchildren: Kaitlyn (Kyle) Cooper, Kali Pfeiffer (fiancé Lester Delmont), Maxwell Pfeiffer, Mattison Pfeiffer, Gentry Pfeiffer, Nigel Pfeiffer, Addie Pfeiffer, Great Granddaughter: Amzie Cooper, Grandchildren: Kalon & Kade Cooper, sister, Evelyn Lloyd, nephews Mark & Kyle Lloyd of Lancaster, TX

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, and a son, Tyler Pfeiffer.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Dunbar Presbyterian Church in Dunbar, Nebraska with Pastor Terry Weible officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with Family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home in Syracuse.

Interment will be in the Dunbar Cemetery, Dunbar, Nebraska.

Memorial may be directed to the Dunbar Fire Department, Syracuse Legion or American Heart Association.
