Dorothy Ann Royal, 87 of Syracuse passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Syracuse Community Memorial Hospital. She was born to Wendelin & Francis (Gress) Pfeiffer on June 6, 1928 in Nebraska City, NE.

Dorothy married Dennis J. Royal on June 19, 1945 at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. She was a very active member of St. Paulinus Catholic Church and in the Altar Society.

She is survived by her daughters Carol (Ken) Arthur, of Nebraska, City, NE, LaDonna Younger, of Kansas, City MO, sons Roger (Kathy) and Dennis Jr. , Syracuse, NE; grandchildren Ron (Tammie) Mead, of Syracuse, Terry (LaDonna) Mead, of Norfok Jennifer (Chris) Feldges, of Omaha, Justin (Jennifer) Royal, Syracuse, and Jarred (Brenda) Royal, of Leigh; great grandchildren Allison, Aaron, Taylor Mead, of Syracuse, Wyatt and Walker Mead, of Norfolk, Emerson and Rowan Feldges, of Omaha, Luke and Emma Royal, of Syracuse, and Irvin and Maeva Royal Leigh, along with her sister Helen Royal, of Palmyra, and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Emil, Ralph, Clarence and Charles, brother-in-law Joe Royal, sister-in-law Gertrude Pfeiffer, son-in-law Warren Younger and infant great grandson.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Families Choice.

Visitation will be held Monday April 25 from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M at the funeral home and resuming at 6 P.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M.
