Dorothy Marguerite Thimgahn, 89, of Granger, Indiana passed away peacefully at 9:20 am on Saturday, January 4 at Hearth At Juday Creek in Granger. She had lived most of her life in the rural Ashland, NE area. She was born on October 27, 1924, in Louisville, NE, to Edwin and Katherine (Heil) Group. On May 4, 1958 in Louisville, NE she married Eldred Walter Thimgahn. Eldred died on July 28, 2007.
Dorothy is survived by daughter - Lou Ann (Andre) Fisher of Mishawaka, IN and a granddaughter - Hannah Fisher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, John Group.
Dorothy was a homemaker and lifetime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was active in Trinity Ladies Aid and Aid Association for Lutherans. She was a member of the Lions Club and was known as an outstanding seamstress. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11:00 am funeral service on Saturday January 11, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Murdock, NE. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Murdock, NE. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
