Dorthea M. Schroeder, 91 of Syracuse passed away June 20, 2014 in Syracuse, NE. She was born on April 18, 1923 in Louisville, NE to Thomas & Elsie Tennant. She married Marion Schroeder on July 20, 1950 in Fremont, NE.

Dorthea worked as a seamstress in Nebraska City. She was also involved in the Eastern Star, Daughters of American Revolution, VFW, American Legion and United Methodist Women.

Dorthea is survived by her son: Ron (Betty) Schroeder of Puyallup, WA; daughter: Carol (Ron) Hansen of Lincoln, NE, Grandchildren: Michael (Kim) Schroeder, Patrick (Linda) Schroeder, both of Washington; Christopher (Andrea) Koch, Timothy Hergenrader, Dorine Riddle, Stacey (Jake) Meza, Julie Riggs all of Nebraska, 18 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandson, Sister-in-law: Thelma Schroeder of Cortland, NE; also numerous nieces, nephews & friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday June 24 at 11 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery

Visitation will be Monday June 23 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
