Dwight A. Kastens, 72 of Unadilla, passed away on May 4th, 2025, at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. He was born on February 21st, 1953, in Lincoln to Otto & Viola (Hillman) Kastens. Dwight married the love of his life, Julie Phillips, on November 5th, 1983, in Elmwood.

Dwight worked for over 20 years at Norton Laboratories, which later became Pfizer. After he took early retirement, he worked for the town of Unadilla for about 8 years. Dwight's commitment in life was to his family. He was a calm, compassionate man known for giving the best hugs and smooches. Dwight found joy in the simple things—camping, fishing, flea markets, and spontaneous road trips. He especially loved spoiling Julie and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; children Nikki (Ryan) Goff, Ben (Roxanne) Kastens, and Sheena (Trevor) Snyder; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters Linda Bonne and Gloria (Steve) Eicher; brother-in-law Rob (Nancy) Phillips; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Tony, his sister Carol Carignan, and his brothers-in-law Wes Bonne and Bob Carignan.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, May 31st, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Duncan Building in Unadilla.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
