Earl Joseph Hrabik, age of 96 passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at Nye Summit in Louisville, Nebraska. Born on April 30, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Earl and Loretta M. (Krakowski) Hrabik.

Earl spent his formative years along the Platte River outside of Louisville, where he developed a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, particularly through his love of hunting and fishing. Earl graduated from Louisville High School in 1947 and subsequently enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served for three years. His time at Naval Electronic School in San Francisco led him to form an appreciation for the 49'ers.

On June 15, 1952, Earl married the love of his life, Dora Lue Alfrey, at the Louisville Methodist Church. Together, they built a life centered around family and community. Earl was a dedicated provider for his family, dedicating over 40 years to Ash Grove while also assisting his father with a bait shop and contributing to construction projects pouring concrete. His commitment to his family was unmatched, and he frequently prioritized the needs of others above his own.

Earl took immense joy in actively supporting his children as well as his grandchildren, attending their various activities with unwavering enthusiasm. He was passionate about golf, often enjoying rounds with family and friends. An avid sports enthusiast, Earl also excelled in statistics and could frequently be found engaged in friendly card games with friends at the Legion Club.

Earl is survived by his sons, Curt (Cindy) Hrabik of Louisville, NE, Matt (Jana) Hrabik of Cedar Creek, NE, and Mark (Deb) Hrabik of Syracuse, NE. Earl was a proud grandfather to Jared, Caleb, Lucas, Jacob, Logan, and Tyler Hrabik; Adam (Nicole) Hrabik; Josh Hrabik; Steph (Nick) Petersen; MJ (Emily) Hrabik; and Scott (Rachel) Hrabik, and was blessed with 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Louise Alfrey along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Loretta Hrabik, wife, Dora Lue Hrabik, daughter, Kathy Hrabik and sister, Betty Huff.

Funeral services will be held on June 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Louisville Methodist Church,

A visitation will take place at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Louisville on June 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM with family greeting family and friends from 6:00 pm until 8 pm.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
