George Earl Yearsley was born on April 21, 1923 in Unadilla, Nebraska to George Dewey and Theresa Marie (Wirth) Yearsley. He passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Monarch in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 30 days.

Earl lived in the Dunbar, Nebraska area his entire life. He loved the land and farmed and worked with cattle his entire life long. He also enjoyed raising a garden.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Yearsley of Estes Park, Colorado, his sister, Barbara Yearsley of Dunbar, Nebraska, sister-in-law, Josephine Yearsley of Syracuse, Nebraska, and he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Arnold and Kenneth Yearsley.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. John Finster officiating.

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, NE.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 23rd from Noon until 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday, September 24th from 9:00 AM until 9:00 P.M. with famiy greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer or Heart Associatioins, Dunbar Fire and Rescue, or the Nebraska Humane Society.
