Edgar Henry Stubbendeck was born December 5, 1926, in Avoca, Nebraska, to Fritz and Eda (Ehlers) Stubbendeck. He passed away, Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Bryan LGH Hospital, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 13 days.

Edgar married Eloise Jolley, on June 8, 1964, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Their loved of the land and good neighbors kept them on the farm for many years.

Edgar is survived by his wife Eloise, of Unadilla, Nebraska, son Dane Jolley, Sr. and wife Lisa, of Henderson, NV, daughter Terry Thorpe, of DesMoines, Iowa, grandchildren Dane Jolley, Jr., of Orlando, Florida, Richard Thorpe, of DesMoines, Iowa, Mackenzie Thorpe, of Mission, Kansas, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Sylvia Stubbendeck, of Elmwood, Nebraska, Virginia Plouzek, of Wilbur, Nebraska, also survived by many neices, nephews, cousins, and many neighbors, and friends.

Edgar is preceded in death by his parents, Fritz and Eda Stubbendeck, sister Eleanor Stubbendeck, brothers, Clarence, Herman, Willis, and Calvin Stubbendeck.

Visitation will begin Sunday, March 23, from 3 until 9 P.M., with family greeting friends from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M., all at the funeral home, and the casket will be opened one hour before services at the Church.

Funeral Services will be Monday, March 24, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. at First Lutheran Church (North Branch) at 1434 North 30 Road, Avoca, Nebraska, with burial at the Church's Cemetery. Family suggest Memorials to the Families Choice.
