Edith M. Nixon, 77 of Lincoln formerly of Palmyra passed away on June 28, 2015 at the Homestead Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, NE. She was born on December 12, 1937 to Hiram Paul & Marion (Routh) Bailey in Lincoln, NE.

Edith married John E. Nixon on January 12, 1966. She worked as a cook and homemaker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and reading.

Edith is survived by her Children: Claire P. (Mary) Hurlburt of Manhattan, KS, Michael R. Nixon of Palmyra, Mary A. (Steve) Hahn of Lincoln, Mark E. Nixon of Palmyra, Matthew W. (Jenny) Nixon of Lincoln; Grandchildren: Shawon Nixon, Wyatt Hahn, Jonathon Hahn, Allison Nixon, Dylan Nixon, Lauren Nixon also many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Son: Edward Lee Hurlburt, Grandson: Alexander Avery Nixon.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday July 11 at 10:30 A.M. at the Country Bible Church located at 16140 S. 148th St. Bennet, NE with Pastor Dean Delfosse officiating.

The family suggests memorials to the Family's Choice.
