Edith P. Steinhoff, 90 of Syracuse, NE passed away August 7, 2014 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, NE. She was born to Charles H. & Edith C. (Kempkes) Hopp in Palmyra, NE on March 5, 1924.
Edith married Ralph Steinhoff on May 20, 1941 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Douglas, NE. She worked as a homemaker and also a mother and grandmother. She loved to bake and cook. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening.
She is survived by her Daughter: Charlotte (Troy) Andrews of Lincoln; Son: Dale Steinhoff of El Dorado, MO; Daughter: BettyLou (Bill) Lang of Lincoln; Son: Garry (Debbie) Steinhoff of Vinita, OK; Son-in-law: Maurice Reehle, of Woodlawn, IL; 15 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren, Sister: Dorothy Ullsperger of Syracuse; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband: Ralph, Daughter: Donna Reehle, Brother: Charlie Hopp, three Infant Brothers, and three Infant Sisters, along with numerous brothers-in-laws & sisters-in-laws.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse.
Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th, from noon until 8 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church or the Family's Choice.
