Edna C. Rosenthal was born on December 25, 1917 in Cook, Nebraska to Wilhelm & Christina (Binder) Wesemann. She passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 91 years, 5 months, 27 days.

Edna lived in the Cook area the majority of her life and graduated from high school there. She met and later married Martin Rosenthal on January 20, 1939 in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cook, Nebraska. She was a farmwife and enjoyed her time with the Cook Women's Club, Quilters Club and the Mary Martha Circle. Edna was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She is survived by her 2 Sons: Roger Rosenthal of Lincoln, NE; Terry Rosenthal and wife Terri of Wilbur, NE; Grandchildren: Mary Ann Rosenthal of Omaha, NE; Cory Rosenthal and fiancé Tracey Jisa of Wilbur, NE; Nicky Diaz of Daykin, NE; Great Grandchildren: Katrina Rosenthal, Kip Nichols, Marelina Diaz, Sister: Lorene Dahl and husband Duey of Lincoln, NE; Sisters-in-law: Betty Rosenthal of Lincoln, NE; Louise Beers of Syracuse, NE; Lucille Wesemann of Lincoln, NE; Brother-in-law: Harold Fisher of Iowa. Also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband: Martin Rosenthal (Jan 11, 2006), Brothers: Carl & Bill Wesemann and a Infant Brother.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Cook, Nebraska with Rev. Steve Billington officiating.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24th from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The casket will be open one hour before services at the church.

Burial will be in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
