Edward W. Schroder, 90 of Palmyra, NE passed away on February 14, 2015 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. He was born on February 15, 1924 to William M. & Dorothy F. (Wyatt) Schroder in rural Palmyra.
Edward married Alma H. Buchholz on February 28, 1945 in Sabetha, KS. He worked as a farmer and dairyman for many years. He also sold seed and also was an Archer oil dealer for over 40 years. He also served as former president of the rural Palmyra fire district for over 30 years.
He is survived by his Wife: Alma Schroder of Palmyra; Children: Lyle (Beth) Schroder of Atlantic, IA, Wayne (Alice) Schroder of Palmyra, Arvilla (Don) Wilson of Yukon, OK; Grandchildren: Melissa (Bill) Ihnen, Marcy (Dan) Dorsey, Chris (Crystal) Schroder, Michelle (Scott) Woolsey, Teresa (Bill) Weaver, Rex Schroder, Troy (Jan) Wilson, Wendy (Roy) Leach, Trent (Sarah) Wilson, Kara Wilson; 15 Great Grandchildren, Brother: Joy (Verle) Schroder; Sister: Verda (Bill) Umland; Sister-in-law: Ruby Buchholz
He was preceded in death by his Parents, William & Dorothy; Brother & Sister-in-law: Myron & Marilyn Schroder.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 20th at 10:30 A.M. at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Palmyra, NE. Burial will be at Rosewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday February 19 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice or Palmyra volunteer fire department.
Casual dress welcome.
