Eileen Lamb was born on December 21, 1921 in the old Hotel in Palmyra, Nebraska to Christian and Bertha (Rockenbach) Sorensen. She passed away on Friday, February 2, 2007 at her home in Palmyra, Nebraska at the age of 85 years.
She was raised and lived her entire life around the Palmyra area. She graduated from Palmyra High School in 1939. She was married on October 29, 1954 in Marysville, Kansas to John A. Lamb. Together they farmed south and west of Palmyra.
She was a member of the Palmyra Methodist church for over 50 years, she is a member of the American Legion Aux. Post #195 of Palmyra, she was a former member of the Rosewood Cemetery Board and a strong supporter of the Palmyra Alumni.
Eileen is survived by Four Daughters: Alice Morrison and husband Truman of Pineville, MO; Luella Shaw and husband Richard of Oswego, NY; Susan Gott and husband Glen of Palmyra, NE; Christie Jensen and husband Chris of Bellevue, NE; 13 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren; Brother: Merl Sorensen and wife Gladys of Palmyra, NE. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband: John A. Lamb, Son: Stephen James Lawton, Sister, Esther L. Sporhase, Granddaughter, Audra Sue Canfield, and Great Grandson, Daniel Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home Chapel in Syracuse, Nebraska.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 4th and from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. Monday, February 5th at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Palmyra, Nebraska.
In Lieu of Flowers memorials to the American Legion Auxillary Post #195 Building Fund, Rosewood Cemetery Tree Fund, Hospice of Tabitha.
