Elaine H. Craig 89, Lincoln, formerly Syracuse, died Monday (3/31/08) at Holmes Lake Manor, Lincoln. Born May 30, 1918 at Syracuse to Thomas Wesley and Julia Ellen Jane (Davis) Copenhaver.
Married Lorenz Fritz Steinhoff on May 31, 1938 at the Methodist Church in Syracuse. Married to Donald Craig on June 21, 1968 at Estes Park, Colo. Worked for 25 years for the Syracuse Dunbar Avoca Public Schools.
Survivors: daughters, Jeanne Lowrey, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Sandra Bridger and husband, Roger; Barbara Dittenber and husband, Dan; Julie Reineke and husband, Ron, all of Lincoln; son, Fritz Steinhoff and wife, Cheryl of Hartington, Neb.; step-daughter, Kathy Driscoll and husband, Bob, Hayden, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter.
Preceded in Death by: parents; husbands, Lorenz Steinhoff (1965); Donald Craig (1998); three brothers; seven sisters.
Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Saturday (4/5/08) at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Syracuse. Rev. Mike Widner officiating.
Burial: Park Hill Cemetery, Syracuse.

Visitation: Thursday (4/3/08) from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m.; Friday (4/4/08) from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.; and one hour before services at the Church.
