Obituary

Elaine Emma Stolz, 71 of Douglas, Nebraska died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the Tabitha Health Care Center in Lincoln, Nebraska after a couragous battle with cancer.

Elaine was born on May 17, 1936 in Lorton, Nebraska to Henry and Frieda (Wiese) Ruenholl. She graduated from Talmage High School in 1954. After graduation she worked at the Syracuse Medical Center.

On April 26, 1960 she married Gail Stolz of Douglas at the McWilliams Church in Rural Talmage, NE. The couple made their home in Burr for three years before moving to a farm near Douglas where they farmed and operated a dairy business for over 40 years. She loved to spend time in her garden and also enjoyed baking and quilting.

Member of the Douglas United Methodist Church, and active with the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her Husband Gail Stolz; Sons: Gary & wife Sheila Stolz, Douglas, Larry and wife Tammie Stolz, Lincoln; Daughters: Diane and husband Kirk Spellman, Lincoln; Jean and husband Doug Tweton, Greenwood; Brother: Harold Ruenholl, Syracuse; Grandchildren: Garrett and Sheanna Stolz; Holly, Megan, Cassie, Tessa and Simon Stolz; Tyler and Zach Spellman and Josie and Jaiden Tweton. Numerous friends, family and others who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and brother Marvin Ruenholl, Hastings

Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the Douglas United Methodist Church in Douglas, Nebraska with Rev. Lyn Seiser officiating.

Interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery, Douglas, Nebraska

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 23rd from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Douglas United Methodist Church.
