Obituary

Eldon T. Panko was born on November 11, 1923 in Sterling, Nebraska to Fred A. and Louise M. (Doeden) Panko. He passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 2 days.

After graduating from High School, he served in the United States Army during World War II. He was united in marriage on September 22, 1946 to Lucille Eisenhauer at Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, Nebraska. Together they made their home in Rural Cook, Nebraska where Eldon farmed. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Cook, Nebraska where he previously served on the Church Council.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Panko of Cook, NE; Children, Gary Lee Panko and wife Beverly Rautenerg-Panko of Eustis, NE; Arlyn Gene Panko and wife Deb of Tekamah, NE; Sharol Kary (Panko) Olson and husband Sam of Overland Park, KS. Grandchildren, Dawn McCallum and husband Pat, Matthew Panko, Lee Panko and wife Michelle, Nathan Panko and wife Lacy, Russel Panko, David Panko, Tyler Panko. Great Grandchildren, Jaime Panko, Jillian Panko, Wyatt Panko, and Nicholas Panko. Also survived by one sister and one brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church in Cook, Nebraska with Rev. Steven Billington officiating.

Interment will be in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery in rural Cook, Nebraska.

Visitation will be held at the Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home on Thursday, February 15th from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Friday, February 16th from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

The family has suggested that memorials be given to the Grace Lutheran Church in Cook, Nebraska.
