Elizabeth "Betty" Blunt, 92 of Louisville, formerly of Manley passed away on August 4, 2016 at the Louisville Care Center. She was born on April 30, 1924 to Alexander & Mary (Wright) Benedict in Afton, IA.

Betty married Harold E. Blunt on October 28, 1943 in Nebraska City. She worked at the bomber plant working on B-52s and also as a cook at HiVue café. She loved to bake pies, garden and can.

She is survived by her Children: Sandra (Gene) Taylor, Virginia Sweeney, Ed (Linda) Blunt, Mary (Larry) Pratt, Kenny Blunt, Patty (Chad) Greenfield, Lisa Blunt; 17 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Mary Ellen Benedict & Carl (Chuck) Benedict.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and Siblings: Ona, Nina, Delbert, Ralph, Everett, Henry, and one great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on August 8, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Chapel in Elmwood, NE. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on August 7 from 1 P.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorials to Alzheimer's Association, Child Saving Institute at Omaha or Elmwood Rescue.
