Ellen N. Dobbs

Ellen N. Dobbs was born on June 23, 1922 in Bertha, Missouri to James and Sarah (Hancock) Nichol. She died on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Louisville Care Center in Louisville, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 9 months, and 8 days.

Ellen graduated from high school in Ava, Missouri. Ellen was married March 21, 194 to Howard E. Dobbs, in Drury, Missouri. To this union, 6 children were born – Patsy, Judy, Robert, Deborah, Randy, and Jimmie. Ellen worked for Western Electric for 22 years. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Louisville, and the Royal Neighbors of America. She was a member of First Christian Church in Louisville. Ellen was a "witty" person—her family all have special favorites of her Ellenism's. She loved fishing, flowers, and her family!

Ellen is survived by children Patsy S. and husband James L. Sawyer, of Louisville, NE, Judy and husband Don McKinney, of Louisville, NE, Robert L. Dobbs, of Louisville, NE, Deborah A. O'Driscoll, Kansas City, KS, and Randy J. Dobbs, of Louisville, NE., 10 Grandchildren ,10 Great grandchildren, and 1 sister Manda Heberer of St. Louis, Missouri.


Ellen was preceded in death by son Jimmie H. Dobbs on May 4, 1988, and husband Howard on October 19, 1973.

Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church, 304 Main, Louisville, NE

Visitation will begin Monday, March 19, from 9 till 9 P.M. with family present from 6-8 PM Condolences may be sent to fusselmanwymore.com
