Evelyn Gunnels was born March 4, 1940 in Louisville, Nebraska, to Bernard and Marold (Conley) Voigtman. She died Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the Louisville Care Center, Louisville, Nebraska, at the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 2 days.

Evelyn married Luther Gunnels on December 24, 1957, in Glenwood, Iowa, and together they raised 4 children Bob, Rose, Linda, and Luther. Evelyn was a member of Faith Missionary Church and of the American Legion Auxiliary #237. She also loved to read and as years passed they loved going camping.

Evelyn is survived by her husband: Luther, of Weeping Water, NE, children: Bob (Linda) Ridler, of Louisville, NE, Rose (Ron) Smith, of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda (Mike) Geoden, of Ozark, MO, Luther (Doris) Gunnels, of Weeping Water, NE,  6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: LeRoy and Jim, and sister: Pat Cross, and grandson: Jared.

Funeral will be Saturday, September 9 ^th at 10:30 A.M. at Faith Missionary Church, 306 South East Street, Weeping Water, Nebraska, with burial at Glendale Cemetery, Louisville, Nebraska, after the Lunch. Memorials are suggested to: Jared's Angel's.

Visitation will  be held Friday, September 9 ^th from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. all at the funeral home in Weeping Water.
