Fay Elizabeth (Sugden) Antes was born on March 18, 1918 in rural Syracuse, NE to Rudolph "Doc" and Elizabeth C. (Jacobs) Sugden. She passed away on March 1, 2011 at her home, at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 11 days.

She was raised in the Syracuse area and graduated from Syracuse High School in 1936. She married the love of her life, Harold Phillip Antes, on June 1, 1938. They spent many wonderful years together on the family farm North of Syracuse, as they raised their three children, Michael, Joan and Douglas. Fay loved life and treasured each day. She did not want for earthly-things... what Fay cherished most was precious moments spent with Harold, family and friends.

Fay was a member of the United Methodist Church for over 70 years and taught Sunday School for many years. She held memberships in: the American Legion Auxiliary, Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Otoe County Museum of Memories, Syracuse Senior Center Board, Warner Cemetery Association, and the North East District 10 Extension Club.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; sister, Hazel Steinhoff of Syracuse; son Michael and wife Judy of Syracuse; daughter Joan Miranda and husband Frank of Oklahoma City, OK; son Douglas and wife Becky of Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Fay will be held at Syracuse United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 4th. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Syracuse United Methodist Church or the Syracuse Senior Center.
