Fred R. Kruse was born on April 11, 1948 in Lincoln, NE to Otto & Hulda (Blindle) Kruse. He passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE at the age of 64 years, 1 month, and 19 days.

Fred married Patricia White on August 1, 1970 in Syracuse, NE and to this union they had 3 kids, Jon, Holly and Joseph. Fred worked at BNSF as an equipment operator in Lincoln for many years. Fred also served in the Army. He belonged to the American Legion Post #197 in Eagle and loved to spend time on his farm.

A kind heart, warm hugs, firm handshakes, and respectfulness are just a few words that describe our beloved friend, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, to name a few.
Fred was always willing to share or start a conversation with anyone he met. Whether at work at BNSF, or the farm, he was described by many as a hard worker. He showed his love through his actions. May he live in our hearts forever.

Fred is survived by his Wife: Patricia Kruse of Eagle, NE, Children: Jon (Tricia) Kruse of Cedar Bluffs, NE, Holly (William) Muckel of Lee Summit, MO, Joseph (Tonda) Kruse of Lincoln, NE, Grandchildren: Benjamin & Kyle Kruse, Kira & Shane Muckel, Brother: Rinehart (Alice) Kruse of Lincoln, NE, Sisters: Luetta Bruns of Syracuse, NE, Burdine Nines of Malcolm, NE.

He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Osage) in Rural Cook, NE with Rev. Curtis Rieger officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery (Osage).

Visitation will be Friday from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
