Gene C. Seevers Sr. age 82 of Louisville, NE was born to William Riley Seevers Sr and Lula Faye (Chatman) on August 6, 1935 in Des Arc, Arkansas. He passed away at Haven Manor in Hickman, Nebraska on March 29, 2018.

Gene was a long time resident of Louisville and was well known in the community.  He graduated from Des Arc, Arkansas then joined the United States Air Force where he received 2 Bronze Stars and several commendation's during his 20 years of service.  Gene attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha where he received a Bachelors Degree in Science and a Master's Degree in Education. Gene then taught in the Millard School System until his retirement in 1993.

Gene is survived by three sons Gene (Tim) Seevers Jr. and wife Deb, of Lincoln, Nebraska, Jim Seevers and wife Bonnie, of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, Kyle Seevers and wife Jennifer, of Topeka, Kansas and life-long friend Leon Kerans. Gene is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Wren and Chelsea Seevers( children of Tim), Heather Specht and Jolie Dobyns (children of Jim), Austin, Grayson and Ansley Seevers (children of Kyle). Great grandchildren Jonah and Gavin (children of Wren Seevers), Parker and Paityn (children of Heather Specht), Bryson and Brylie (children of Jolie Dobyns) and Clara Gene Pyland (daughter of Chelsea Gene Seevers), many nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his sister Frieda Seevers, father William Riley Seevers, Sr., mother Lula Faye Seevers, brother Dwight (Mike) Seevers, grandson Austin Seevers, sister Pat Klecke (Seevers) and brother William (Bill) Seevers.

Gene touched many lives and he will be greatly missed by many. We will always have the wonderful memories and you will live on in our hearts.

Celebration of Life will be Friday, April 6th 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Fusselman Allen Harvey Funeral Chapel, 413 Elm Street, Louisville, Nebraska, with lunch to follow at Henry A Newman American Legion, Main Street, Louisville, Nebraska.
