Gene LeRoy Tlustos was born July 24, 1943, in Fremont, Nebraska, to Donald and Esther (Sjogren) Tlustos. He passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013, at the Hospice House, Omaha, Nebraska, at the age 70 years, 4 months, and 22 days.

Gene married Judy Lee, in Weeping Water, Nebraska in July 1, 1967, and to this union they raised two boys Dan and Dean. He worked for Burlington Railroad, Conservation Officer, Nebraska State Patrol, and Park Superintendent of Louisville State Lakes, for nearly 25 years. In younger days he loved to hunt, play baseball, and enjoyed listening to good old country music.

Gene is survived by his wife Judy, of Springfield, NE, sons Dan and wife Jenny Tlustos, of Omaha, NE, and Dean and wife Denise Tlustos, and grandchildren Genna, and Travis, all of Ozark, MO, sisters Donna and husband Ray Albert, of Louisville, NE, JoAnn and Glen Treptow, of Ithica, NE.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents Don & Esther Tlustos.

Memorial service Friday, December 20, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, 222 Walnut, Louisville, Nebraska with burial at Riverview Cemetery. Family suggest memorials to the family for later designation.

Visitation, with No Viewing on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., and the family will greet friends at the Funeral Home, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
