Gene Wagar was born May 16, 1944 in Scobey, Montana, to Alfred and Roxa (Dickerson) Wagar. He died at his home on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the age of 73 years, 3 months, and 11 days.

Gene married Shirley Socha and they had two children Mike and Sheila, then after their divorce he married Cathy Ross in June of 1983 and he added Sean, and Lisa to his family.
Gene worked for Deluxe Printing for many years. He served in the Air Force. He was a member of the Murdock Lions Club, loved working in his garden, and Nebraska Football.

Gene is survived by his children, Mike Wagar, Sheila Lewis, step children, Sean (Kimberly) Harrison, and Lisa (Todd) Sillman, grandchildren Kylee, Jordin, and Trace, step grandchildren Tori, Taliesin, Tegan, Kyel, Tristen, and Taryn, and a great grandson Damon, sisters Sharon, Irene, and Pauline, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, is wife Cathy, and sister Ella Mae.

Funeral will be Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church 204 Kansas Street, Murdock, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to Murdock Lions Club
