George Fannon was born to George & Goldie (Gilbert) Fannon, on April 26, 1935, in Maryville, Missouri. He passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2009, at the Community Memorial Hospital, in Syracuse, Nebraska, at the age of 74 years, 4 months, and 4 days.

George married Marilyn Danner, on July 3, 1960, in Bedison, Missouri, and to this union they raised, Benita, Colleen, Angela, and David. He taught School for years, he was a member of Mount Morriah Lodge 57 A.F. & A.M. – Syracuse Lions – Easter Star

George is survived by his wife Marilyn, of Syracuse, NE, daughters Benita Thummel, of Otoe, NE, Colleen & husband Mike Jorgensen, of Lincoln, NE Angela & husband Cory Clark, of Lincoln, son David of Lincoln, NE, grandchildren Lindsey, Trentin, Seranna Thummel, Steven Fannon, Jazzmin & Gunner Jorgensen, brothers Verlin Fannon, of Conception Junction, MO, Forest & wife Donna Fannon, of Stanberry, MO, Robert & wife Gerri Fannon, of Conception Junction, MO, and sister Sharon & husband James Williams, of Fillmore, MO.

George is preceded in death by his parents George & Goldie Fannon, brother Larry Fannon

Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 920 Centennial Ave, Nebraska City, Nebraska

Visitation Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., and Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., with a Masonic Service at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday night all at the Funeral Home.
