Glen D. Davidson, 86 of Syracuse, passed away on September 28, 2019 at home in Syracuse. He was born near Blue Hill on January 20, 1933 to Ellis & Delma (Meyer) Davidson.
Glen married Arlene Faulhaber and to this union 5 children were born. After they divorced he married Brenda Schultze and she passed away in 2008. On September 22, 2013 he married Sharon (Tews) Schultz.
He started working as a farmer and later started Davidson Insurance and Real Estate. He also was owner of the Nut Cracker in Syracuse. Glen was active in the community serving as a Boy Scout Leader, member of the Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and was a charter member of the Syracuse rescue squad which he served on for 23 years. He was a Co-Op Board Member, City Councilman and belonged to the Methodist & Lutheran Churches in Syracuse.
Glen enjoyed being a pilot and could be seen buzzing farmsteads. He also enjoyed doing photography, taking trips and watching Big Joe Polka, Lawrence Welk, Laurel & Hardy and the Three Stooges.
He is survived by his Wife: Sharon Schultz Davidson; Children: Vicki (Chuck) Quillen, Daniel Davidson, Christine Kreifels, Kurt (Maxine) Davidson; 8 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 6 Great Great Grandchildren; Step Children: Bryan Schultz, Lesley Schultz; 2 Step Grandchildren; and Brother; Loren (Valda) Davidson.
Glen was preceded in death by his Parents, 1st wife: Arlene, 2nd wife: Brenda, Son: William Ellis Davidson, Great Granddaughter: Alex Jeffers, Siblings: Darryl Davidson, Phyllis Dunlap and Orval Davidson and Son-in-law: Buddy Kreifels.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 11 at 11:00 A.M. at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse.
Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to St. Jude.
