Glen Fred Wallen, 83, of Unadilla, Nebraska, passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Society in Syracuse. He was born September 17, 1926 to John and Henrietta (Guthals) Wallen. Glen graduated from Unadilla High School and attended classes in the College of Agriculture at the University of Nebraska. He married Beatrice (Betty) Kuenning November 26, 1948 in Sydney, Iowa. Glen was a farmer all of his life in the Unadilla area.

His real love was his wife, Betty and four daughters. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, ping-pong, coon hunting and traveling. He was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church where he served on many committees in leadership roles. He was also on the Unadilla Farmer's Union Coop Board, the Unadilla Cemetery Association, a member and officer on the Unadilla Public School Board, and was an avid promoter of 4-H. Glen was an active member of the Coon Hunters Association, and drove the school bus for the Unadilla Public Schools.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice (Betty), daughters, Shirley (Phil) Johnson of Colorado, Lois (Gary) Green of Missouri, Gloria (Steve) Mendez of California, Jolene (Michael) Scott of Virginia. Grandchildren, Jeff (Sarah) Green, Heather (Adam) Dunn, Lisa (Randy) Forbes, Amber (David) Hoffman, Jinger Johnson, Lucas, Andrew and Jared Scott, Serina Mendez, Steven (Lupe) Mendez, Scott Mendez. Great Grandchildren, Noelle and Jaden Green, Hayden Dunn, and Drew Mendez. Niece, Glenda (Phil) Wilnerd; Nephew, Stanley Wallen; Brother's and Sister's–in-law, Mel and Irene Kuenning, Myldred and Harvey Dettmer, Arvilla Noerrlinger, Wilber Kuenning, Harold (Joe) Kuenning, Erma Siemers and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Glen was proceded in death by his parents, and brother Harland and Eileen Wallen; Brother's and Sister's- in-law, Hobart and Alvina Vacca, Warren and Dorothy Kuenning, Otto Siemers, Doris Kuenning, Delores Kuenning, David Kuenning, Don Noerrlinger, Maynard (Pete) and Lois Kuenning and Shirley Kuenning.
