Glenna Dean Pogue Piercy Powell was born in Leachville, AR on April 24, 1935 to Harvey Thomas Pogue and Dora Belle Bennett. Her father's passing proceeded her birth. When she was a young child, Benjamin F. Bolin became her stepfather.

Glenna passed away peacefully in Papillion, Nebraska on February 1, 2025, with her children near.

She graduated Leachville, AR High School, and married Gaylon Piercy in 1952 and M L Powell in 1988. She retired after working many years at Brown Shoe Company in Leachville, AR and Pocahontas, AR and SAS Shoe factory in Conway, AR.

She moved from Arkansas to Nebraska in 2008. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the NE Huskers, AR Razorbacks, and the Kansas City Chiefs. Other things she loved were making quilts, crocheting, collecting ceramic shoes, playing bingo, and cultivating all sorts of plants. But more importantly she loved Jesus, and attended church often. She tremendously loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great granddaughter.

During her last 8 years, she resided independently at Immanuel Courtyard in Omaha, NE.

She is survived by 3 children -

She is preceeded in death by her son Charles Edward Piercy, grandson Caleb Micah Piercy, father, mother, stepfather, spouses, and siblings - Wilma Irene Ward Kreb, Edith Marie Green, Harvey Thomas Pogue Jr, Donald Bernelle Pogue, Buzz Lavelle Bolin.

Memorial and burial will be held at Green County Memorial Gardens, Paragould, AR on on Feb 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
