Harold A. Williams, 87, of Plattsmouth died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Midlands Hospital in Papillion.
He was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Sedgwick, Colo., to William and Catherine (Michel) Williams.
On Dec. 24, 1940, he married Rosenda Buhrman in Grand Island.
Harold drove trucks most of his life, starting at age 14, hauling beets. He also hauled fuel, cars and cement blocks. He and Rosenda loved to travel.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Harold M. and Mary Ann Williams; Dennis and Carolyn Williams; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Roger Snodgrass; Betty Jo and James Keisner; brothers, Bob Williams, Ed Williams, Walt Williams, Ron Williams and Leonard Williams; sisters, Esther Kahler DeRosia, Edith Tesarek and Ethlyn Spires.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Rosenda Williams; son, Wayne Williams; daughter, Carole Ann Williams; and brothers, Albert, Raymond, Jim and David.
Rosary service: 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Church of the Holy Spirit
Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Church of the Holy Spirit, Plattsmouth, with Monsignor Paul Witt officiating; acolytes, Gene Fees and Lynn Vinduska; servers, Alex Hajek-Jones and Lucas Baggenstoss; vocalist, Terry Little. Vocal music: "Be Not Afraid," "Only in God," "On Eagles Wings," "Ave Maria," "Song of Farewell" and "How Great Thou Art."
