Lincoln to William L. and Ludwina (Weber) Kempkes.

Married Sept. 16, 1978 to Georgia Jean Thurber at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Palmyra. Steel Worker for 22 years at Goodyear Tire, Lincoln. Steel Workers Union Steward.

Survivors: daughter, Amber Kempkes and son, Aaron Kempkes, both of Unadilla; brothers, William Kempkes and wife, Glenda, Crete; Tom Kempkes and wife, Lois, Kingman, Ariz.; sister, Charleen Volker and husband, Robert, Bennet; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in Death by: parents; wife, Georgia (3/15/2002); brother, Robert Kempkes.

Funeral 10 a.m. Monday (7/28/08) at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Palmyra. Officiating: Father Chris Barak.

Burial: Leo's Catholic Cemetery, Palmyra.

Visitation: Saturday (7/26/08) from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m.; and Sunday (7/27/08) from 9 a.m. until time of the Rosary at the Funeral Home. Rosary 7 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home Chapel.
