Harvey Bornemeier, passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 71. He was born on December 19, 1953, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Willard and Edna (Fleischman) Bornemeier.

After graduating from Elmwood High School, Harvey attended trade school for two years, where he became a certified electrician and worked for LES. He eventually dedicated himself to a career in farming.

In his free time, Harvey found joy in simple pleasures, especially fishing, where he could relax and connect with nature. His loyal companion, Ozzy, was a constant presence by his side.

Harvey leaves behind his daughter, Tracy Bornemeier; his granddaughter, Aysha Herndon; sister, Eileen (Rick) Kopecky; nephew Jeff (Anisa) Kopecky; and niece, Lisa (Brian) Kopecky-Saunar. Preceding him in death are his parents, Willard and Edna Bornemeier, and his brother, Jerry Bornemeier.

A memorial service celebrating Harvey's life will take place Monday, November 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Elmwood, with burial to follow at the Elmwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1:00 PM).

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
