Harvey was born December 16, 1928, to Eilert and Almina (Wolken) Bruns, at Pickrell, Nebraska. He passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Center, in Syracuse, Nebraska, at the age of 79 years, and 28 days.

Harvey married Lutetta Kruse, on May 24, 1964, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Osage), Rural Cook, Nebraska and to this union the raised, 3 ~ Children, Jody, Lana, and Dawn. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Cook where he had served on the Church Council and as Sunday School Superintendent, along with being on the Johnson County Health Board & Johnson County Tax Payers Association.

Harvey is survived by his wife Luetta Bruns of Cook, NE; daughters Jody Bruns of Cook, NE; Lana Bruns of Omaha, NE; Dawn Sugden and husband Rusty of Seward, NE; 2 granddaughters Karsten Bruns and Addilyn Sugden, sisters Etta Dieken of Unadilla, NE; Bernice Hale and husband Donald of Adams, NE, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Brusn of Burchard, NE; Sue Bruns of Beatrice, NE. also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Harvey is preceded in Death by parents, 2 brothers Arnold and John Bruns


Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Cook, NE with Rev. Steve Billington Officiaiting.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8th from 12:00 until 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday, January 9th from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home

Interment will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Cook, NE
