Harvey "Doc" J. Harms was born on January 1, 1930 in Syracuse, NE to Harvey John & Clara Mary (Engelbrecht) Harms. He passed away on May 20, 2011 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 19 days.

Harvey married Joyce Larimore on August 22, 1987. He was involved in the American Legion and VFW at Syracuse. He was a farmer his whole life.

He is survived by his Wife: Joyce N. Harms, Brother: Kenneth G. Harms, Sister: Janis M. Wessel, Step Son: Garry Larimore, Step Daughter: Julie Nallie & husband Robert, 2 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Sister: Helen J. Kepler, Brother-in-law: George Wessel

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday May 25, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Faith Presbyterian Church. 8100 Giles Rd. Lavista, NE. Burial will be at Christ Lutheran Cemetery (Delaware) at 2:30 P.M.

Visitation for Harvey will be on May 24, 2011 from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M. to sign the book. No viewing do to cremation.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to family's choice.
