Helen L. Aden, 97 of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the Syracuse Hospital. She was born on August 21, 1926, in Otoe to John & Anna (Weber) Bruns. Helen graduated from Otoe High School in May of 1944.

On October 15, 1944, she married Paul E. Aden in Marysville, KS and they were blessed with 4 children. Helen worked for Nebraska Public Power, Syracuse Medical Clinic and as a beautician for 18 years. She was a charter member of the VFW Aux. as well as being a longtime member of Luther Memorial. Helen also enjoyed playing cards with friends and making many special crosses.

She is survived by her children Sharon (Bob), Ken (Deb), Jim (Nancy); grandchildren Brent (Shanna) Aden, Curtis (Amber) Aden, Grant (Michelle) Aden; great grandchildren Tamajin Aden, Oliver Aden, Maverick Aden, Avery Aden, Vivian Aden, Cameron Aden; also many nieces, nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Don, daughter-in-law Kailene, grandson Tamagin, brothers, sister and all her in-laws.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Luther Memorial Church in Syracuse. The service will be livestreamed on the Luther Memorial Church, NE YouTube page.

Visitation will be held at Luther Memorial on Wednesday, October 4 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with family greeting friends.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
