IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen M.
Allen
February 26, 1937 – June 17, 2024
Helen May Allen of Syracuse went to her heavenly home on Monday June 17th, 2024.
She was born February 26th, 1937, in Livonia, MO to Beatrice and Bernard Hayes. She had two sisters Shirley and Ruth Ann.
Helen was the beloved wife of Ronald Allen whom she was married to for 62 years. They met when Helen was waitressing at a local diner in her town while Ronald was working for the Army Corps of Engineers. They fell in love and started their family. She was a devoted mother and housewife who loved her family and God very much. Her love of the Lord and attending church led her to help with the Awana program and help her fellow church family. She was a 10 year survivor of pancreatic cancer and it never slowed her down to do the things that she loved and help others.
She is survived by her loving husband Ronald, two daughters Beverly (Hugh) Keller, Janine (Mike) Harvey, her four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and her sister Ruth Ann Vitko. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Shirley Miano.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 27th at 10:30 a.m. at the Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse.
Memorial contributions will be distributed between the Syracuse Bible Church and the American Legion Post 100 Baseball League.
