Helen Ruth Eager, was born February 2, 1912, in Florence, Nebraska, to Jay & Margaret (Jensen) Larsen. She passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009, at the Nebraska Medical Center, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 97 years, 7 months, and 24 days.

Helen married Herbert Eager, on December 27, 1931, in Louisville, Nebraska, and to this union they raised 3 children Jack, Carol, and Diana. She taught School, at Buffalo School, in Sarpy County, until just after they were married. Helen was the Manager of the Louisville Café for 13 years, having the young Ladies of Louisville learning Customer Services. She helped run the hotel was meticulous in record- keeping. She was a member of Eastern Star, Extension Club, First United Methodist Church

Helen is survived by her Son Jack and wife Carol Eager of Ashland, NE, 2 Daughters - Carol Wiles of Murdock and special friend Paul Talley of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Diana Schultz and special friend Garry Storovich of Louisville, NE, 9 grandchildren, 9 ½ great-grandchildren, 2 sisters – Frances Murman of Hastings, Shirley and husband LaVern Davis of Omaha, Brother James (Bub) and wife Myrna Larsen, Omaha.

Proceeded in death parents, Jay and Margaret Larsen, husband, Herbert Eager, brother – Robert Larsen, grandson-in-law David Vallinch.

Memorial Service will be Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Louisville First United Methodist Church, Louisville, NE. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Funeral Home on Tuesday 9 AM – 9 PM, with family present from 7:00-8:00.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church or the Nebraska Masonic Home.
