Helen M. Eis, 86 of Unadilla was born on September 26, 1930 in Omaha, NE to Arthur & Edith (Swerdfeger) Wenninghoff. She passed away on January 1, 2017 at Southlake Village Rehab and Care Center in Lincoln.

Helen married Richard Eis on January 3, 1952 at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. She worked as an operator for the Lincoln Telephone Company and also in the housekeeping dept. at the Syracuse hospital for many years. Helen enjoyed sewing, playing piano, singing and traveling to Branson. Her true love was being with her family and attending all of her grandchildren's events.

Helen is survived by her Sons: Randy Eis of Unadilla, Tom (Rhonda) Eis of Beatrice; Daughter: Gail (Mike) Ross of Dunbar; Grandchildren: Jeremy (Ashley) Eis, Erin (Dustin) Kreifels, Krista Eis, Ryan Eis, Mitchell (Dawn) Ross, Caitlin Eis; 5 Great Grandchildren; Brother: Ron (Mary Ann) Wenninghoff of Unadilla; Sister-in-law: Maxine (Harold) Kearn of Kansas; also many nieces, nephews and friends.

Helen is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brother: Arthur Wenninghoff; Sister: Margery Koch.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
