Helen Marie (Wallen) Luff, of Unadilla, was called home on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the age of 88 years, and 17 days. Helen was born on March 2, 1923 to Arthur and Ida (Siepelmeier) Wallen, Northeast of Palmyra. She graduated from Palmyra High School and attended the Lincoln School of Commerce. She worked at the Syracuse AAA Office for two years before marrying Dorman H. Luff, on September 24, 1942 at Vine Congregational Church in Lincoln. A farm wife and loved it. Helen adored all her grandchildren and enjoyed poems/quotes/cartoons depicting everyday life, family genealogy, journaling, being out doors to watch wildlife/clouds. Side by side, she worked the fields and milked cows with Dorman on the family farm. Member of Paisley Congregational Church in 1936, then of Unadilla Christian Church in 1963, where she was also a member of Circle #2. Joined the Sesostris Ladies Auxiliary in 1981.
Helen is survived by her 3 Children / spouses, 5 grandchildren/spouses and 5 great grandchildren. Daughter Judy and husband Steve Vampola, of Lincoln. Son Dean & wife Peggy Luff, and families Bryce and Leigh Luff, Briley, Charlee, Andyn; Devin Luff all of Unadilla; Baillie Luff of Lincoln. Daughter Joyce & husband Gary King, and families Shane and Karis King, Ayden, Evan all of Bennet; Jason and Asha (King) Cooper, of Littleton, CO; many loving family and friends.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Dorman, 1990, granddaughter Vanessa Ann Vampola, Parents; Arthur and Ida Wallen; sister, Arva Royal and brother-in-law, James Royal.
Memorial Services will be Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 11:30 A.M. at the Unadilla Christian Church, Unadilla, Nebraska. Private graveside services to he held at a later time. Family suggest Memorials to the families choice.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 23, 2011, from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. to sign the Book, NO Viewing, Cremation.
