Henry A. Davis was born November 3, 1912 in Louisville to John and Ellen C. (Erickson) Davis.  He passed away February 19, 2008 at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, NE.

On October 1, 1932 he married Dorothy Knutson in Blair, NE.  Together they had two children Robert and Donna.  Henry worked for the Post Office where he became Post Master for the Louisville Office.  He was a Mason in the Springfield Lodge and was a member of the American Legion in Louisville.  During World War II he served in the US Navy.

Survivors include son Robert and wife Pat of Louisville, NE.  Grandchildren, Sherry L. Davis, Robby and wife Barb Davis, Linda Davis, Michael Davis, Daniel and wife Julie Stambaugh and great granddaughter Debra Stambaugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ellen, wife Dorothy, daughter Donna Stambaugh, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services were held February 23, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, Louisville, NE with Rev. Paul Blanchard officiating.  Burial followed at Riverview Cemetery.
