Irene Reimer was born June 1, 1915, in Syracuse, Nebraska to Gerd and Nora (Beckfield) Stillahn. She passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 1 day.

Irene married Walter Reimer on January 21, 1937 in Syracuse, Nebraska. To this union they had one son Duane. Irene worked at Community Memorial Hospital and also as a Homemaker.

Irene was a member of Ladies Aide. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, square dancing, cooking and baking.

Surviving family includes Children: Duane Reimer and wife Anita of Syracuse, NE, Granddaughter: Lori Carlson and husband Doug of Syracuse, NE, Grandson: Tim Reimer and wife Julie of Brainard, NE, Great Grandchildren: Whitney Vestal and husband Blake of Maryville, MO, Haley Reimer and Emily Reimer of Brainard, NE, Great Great Granddaughter: Ashlynn Vestal of Maryville, MO. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Walter, Sister, Ruby Roos, Brothers, Elmer and Arthur Stillahn.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse, Nebraska. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse, Nebraska. Family suggests memorials to the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church or Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 4 from 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M at the Funeral Home in Syracuse. The casket will be open one hour before services at the church.
