Obituary

Irene Zimmerman was born February 21, 1926, in Dunbar, Nebraska, to Fred and Susie (Mitchel) Frye. She passed away, Friday July 25, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 4 days.

Irene married Quenten Esser Sr. in 1942 and to this union they raised Kathy, Linda, Frances, Jackie, and Quenten, Jr., after Quenten's death in 1970, she married Willard Zimmerman, in 1974, in Hastings, Nebraska. She worked for Pamida, and retired from there, and was a member of, St. Paulinus Altar Society, she Enjoyed Crocheting, Raising Flowers, Crossword Puzzles and Cats.

Irene is survived by her Daughters Linda Deaver and husband Charles of Woodbury, MN; Frances Everett and husband Donald of Brookline, MO; Jackie Lueders of Syracuse, NE; Son: Quenten Esser and Wife Debby of Rural Otoe, NE; 14 Grandchildren; 29 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Brothers & Sisters: Sterling Brechtel of Colorado; Susie Wyatt of Unadilla, NE: Fred Frye of Holland, NE; Dorothy Sammons of Syracuse, NE: Mary Gartner of Unadilla, NE;

Preceded in Death by: Parents, Husbands: Quenten Esser, Sr. (1970), Willard Zimmerman (2003); Daughter: Kathy Krueger

VISITATION will be Saturday, July 26th from 12:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home, and Sunday, July 27th from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home, The casket will be open one hour before services at the Church.

ROSARY: Sunday, July 27th at 7:30 P.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church, Syracuse, NE

Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 28, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church – Syracuse, Nebraska. With burial at St. Benedicts Cemetery, in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
