Iris Jean Lindell, 71 of Grand Island passed away on August 20, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island. She was born on September 13, 1944 to Arthur T. & Mary Alice (Robertson) Lindell in Murdock, NE.

Iris was very proud of her service in the Marines. She worked for Western Electric as an accountant. She also enjoyed playing softball, volleyball and bowling.

She is survived by her Brother: Orvin Lindell of Lafayette, IN; Sisters: Mary (Tex) Schutz of Streetman, TX, Neva Lindell of Dallas, TX, Sue (Brad) Petersen of Lincoln, NE, Arlene (Tom) Cox of Leander TX, Martha (Dave) Nelson of Lincoln, NE; Sisters-in-law: Barb (wife of Arthur Thomas), Milta (wife of Francis Albert), Roberta (wife of Jack Joseph); Nieces & Nephews: Rich Lindell, Jack J. Lindell, Judy Lindell, Jennifer Reddell, JoyBeth Lindell, Timothy Lindell, Becky Lindell, Jonathon Lindell; Also several great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and Brothers: Arthur Thomas, Jack Joseph and Francis Albert.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 24 at 11:30 A.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Chapel in Elmwood, NE. Burial will be at the Elmwood cemetery.
