IvaDell K. Vollertsen, 93 of Syracuse, passed away on April 9, 2017 at the Syracuse Community Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 5, 1924 to Gilbert & Clara (Dieckgrafe) Holscher in Cook.
IvaDell married Melvin Vollertsen on September 19, 1943 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Osage). She worked as a clerk at Harold's grocery store and the variety store in Syracuse. She enjoyed trips to the casino, grandchildren & great grandchildren's sporting events and visiting with friends at Dairy Chef.
She is survived by her Children: Carol (LeRoy) Carlson of Syracuse, Marilyn (Larry) Nelson of Payson, AZ, Jerry Vollertsen of Syracuse, Steve Vollertsen of Syracuse; 10 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandson; Daughter-in-law: Sharon Vollertsen of Syracuse; Brother: Claron (Greta) Holscher of Cook.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Son: Roger, Daughter-in-law: Terry Vollertsen, Brother: Norman, Sister: Marjorie Johns, Granddaughter: Stacy.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Osage) in rural Cook. Friends may sign the register book from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M. on April 20 at the funeral home. No viewing.
Private family burial will be at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse.
