Jack M. Kuhn was born on July 28, 1929 in South Bend, Nebraska to Glen and Esther (Ward) Kuhn. He passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his home in Rural Ashland at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 18 days.
Having lived his entire life in Cass County, he went to work in the sand and gravel pits as a young child, and later worked for Ash Grove Cement Plant as a Machinist until his retirement. On April 23, 1950, he was united in marriage to Donna Kuhlman in Lincoln, Nebraska. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Work was a hobby of Jack's; he enjoyed very much working with his hands. On his farm, in rural Ashland, he raised cattle, gardened, cut and sold firewood and was well known for his walnut harvesting. His two granddaughters were a delight in his life and he enjoyed watching them grow and play softball, he was known by everyone on their team as Grandpa Jack.
He is survived by his Son Randy Kuhn and Girlfriend Stacey Ghumm of Ashland, NE; Grandchildren: Jennifer Kuhn of Lincoln, NE and Tricia Kuhn of Waverly, NE; Brother, Roger Kuhn of Louisville, NE; Sister, Lynda Larson and husband Harry of Nebraska City, NE; Special Friend; Beth Robertson of Ashland, NE; Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 20th at 1:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Louisville, Nebraska with Rev. Joel Plisek officiating.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 19th from 9 AM until 9 PM with family greeting friends from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Louisville, Nebraska
Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Children's Home or the Family's Choice.
