Jacqueline Funkhouser was born July 30, 1924, to Charles and Zella (Bourelle) Riggs. She passed away on December 24, 2014, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha at the age 90 year, 4 months, and 24 days.
Jackie married Charles Edwin Funkhouser, on November 1, 1941 in South Sioux City, Nebraska and to this union they raised three children Judy, Charles, and Janet. She worked for Boys Town, in Omaha, but worked for Jack Alt at the Store for many years. Her best job was being a stay at home Mom, Grandma, and Town Chaperon. Jackie loved to cook, bake, and entertaining. Playing cards and Nebraska Football are other loves of her life.
She is survived by her daughters; Judy (Wayne) Miller, of Cedar Creek, NE, Janet Smith, of Cedar Creek, NE, and son Charles W. Funkhouser, of Cedar Creek, NE, sister Barb Rhode, of Fremont, NE, and June King, of Oklahoma, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Edwin, grandson David Funkhouser, son-in-law Mike Smith, daughter-in-law Donna Funkhouser, great grandson Mickie Jefferys, and 6 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service will be Monday, December 29, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, 222 Walnut, Louisville, Nebraska, with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Family suggest memorials the Family.
VISITATION will be Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. all at the Funeral Home.
