James (Jim) Edmund Ortlieb was born March 11, 1960, in Omaha, NE, to Richard and Trudy (Huetter) Ortlieb. He passed away August 28, 2008, at his home in Murdock, NE, surrounded by his family, at the age of 48 years, 5 months, and 17 days.

Jim married Sylvia Kwiatkowski, on June 29, 1979, in Manley, NE, and to this union they raised two children Clifford and Bridget. He had worked for Ash Grove Cement Company, Louisville, and Cushman Factory in Lincoln, NE. Jim loved working on Cars, his Dogs, Gardening, Camping, Fishing, and his Friends.

Jim is survived by his wife Sylvia, son Clifford, and daughter Bridget, all of Murdock, NE, parents, Richard and Trudy Ortlieb, of Louisville, NE, grandmother Hedwig Huetter, brother David and wife Marthia Ortlieb, of Murdock, NE, sister Rita and husband Jim Nelson, of Blair, NE, brother John Ortlieb, of Louisville, NE, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his grandfather Heinz Huetter, grandparents Regina and Edmund Ortlieb.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 36712 Church Road, Louisville, NE, with burial at Wabash Cemetery, rural Murdock, NE. Family Suggest Memorials to Families Choice

Visitation will be Monday, September 1, from 12 until 9 with the family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home. NO VIEWING due to cremation.
